TheRange – December 2016 Newsletter

Welcome to TheRange

Christmas is upon us, and whilst the festivities take place we can reflect on what a year 2016 has been.

Dear clients, friends & family,

2016 was certainly an interesting and somewhat theatrical year, our nation took centre stage with Brexit and across the pond we watched a U.S election that has undoubtedly carved its way in to the history books. However, as a country, as a city, and as a community we can, we have and we will get through any changes that arise.

One thing we can safely say is that your investment will remain safe in property in 2017 and the foreseeable future. We here at Range Homes are here to protect your home and your assets, and look after your property needs. Range Homes will be with you every step of the way while you’re either buying, selling or renting your home.

Christmas is a time to count your blessings and to realise the best things in life are free. A simple smile or act of kindness will make someone’s day. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued business and support and I look forward to continuing our great relationships.

I would personally like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

“Range Homes, where great plans come together “

Chanel Ali

From Stamp Duty changes, to Brexit to Trump, it definitely has a been a year to remember. The property market experienced it’s share of the spotlight too but overall it has still been a positive year with the Enfield borough showing some the best signs of growth. (Rightmove HPI below) In addition, Barnet also performed very well with 4.1% growth to November 2016.

In general, the housing market has outperformed very low expectations since the shock referendum result, despite the economic uncertainty unleashed by the vote for Brexit. Prices should still rise in 2017, we are not projecting a house price crash in our main scenario, although there are some uncertainties around we are remaining positive and focused for a challenging yet successful 2017.

As an active member of our community, Range Homes were glad to work with Eversley Primary School once again, we proudly sponsored their Christmas Fete which was held at the school on Sunday 20th November.

It was a huge success, the parents and children got involved in all the fun filled activities and I’m sure there were a few glasses of mulled wine consumed here and there. Range Homes supplied the 1st place prize in the raffle which was a family day out to a London theatre show of their choice.

Congratulations to the winners and we hope you enjoy your day.

Our Director, Chanel Ali, continues to be a pivotal part our community and has attended a number of key events and meetings with influential members of Parliament from David Guake Chief Secretary to the Treasury and our beloved local MP David Burrows. Discussion were held on important economic topics where we were able to give some insights on the property market following the SDLT changes and of course, Brexit.

Chanel was also invited to the Houses of Parliament for a meet and greet and enjoyed spending time with some well regarded members of our community.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas

& Happy New Year
